Prudence's Gowns

wear it pink 2022 · 21 October 2022 ·
Everyone knows somebody who has been affected by Breast Cancer. Too many woman as well as men, are sadly diagnosed too often.
We also want to bring awareness to the BRCA gene, a BReast CAncer gene which is close to our hearts here at Prudence Gowns. Having a mutation in this gene can lead to a much higher chance of Breast and Ovarian Cancer. People are often only aware of having this mutation through family history or testing. Once a positive result is confirmed through a blood test, further scans and MRIs can be done to help moniter any changes that may occur and picked up sooner rather than later. Another vital reason funds are raised to help with this research.
We would like to help fundraise as much as we can to help towards finding treatment and one day a cure for cancer.
Breast Cancer Now's wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place on 21 October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people will wear it pink in their communities, schools or workplaces, to help make life-changing research and care happen.Over the past year, people have been diagnosed with the disease at a time when everything from treatment to screenings have been disrupted. This has only made us more determined to make sure we're there to provide support for now and hope for the future. Thank you!
