Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Dan Rothery and Adrian Peacock are both Police Officers in the London Borough of Harrow. For the past three years, they have been working as part of the youth engagement team, including engaging with secondary aged school pupils and running the Volunteer Police Cadets.
Our main aim is to prevent our young people of Harrow from entering the criminal justice system and do this by engagement, classroom education and supporting the young, their parents and the schools when necessary.
Preventing violent crime amongst our young, especially knife crime is always top priority for us as team and will do all we can to prevent this. We would like as many of our Harrow School Pupils to attend The Ben Kinsella Trust, based in Islington so that they can experience this valuable educational venue and understand the dangers of knife crime.
Our aim is simple. Do our best to reduce knife crime and the associated injuries in Harrow and across our capital city!
So - we decided we would take part in the 2017 RideLondon event. 98 miles in one day around our capital city.
We will do this, with the support from the rest of the team and our Volunteer Police Cadets who will help us raise money for the charity.
The Ben Kinsella Trust's aim is to reach out to as many school aged children across the capital as possible. The Harrow Volunteer Police Cadets and the Harrow Youth Engagement Team want to support them in their aim!
