Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was unfortunate enough to contract COV-19 in March and my condition was so severe that I ended up in ITU at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. The amazing staff at the hospital saved my life and allowed me to return home to my family.

A group of my friends do a charity cycle ride every year, and this year we would like to raise some money to donate to the critical care unit at the QE Hospital and pay them something back for their fantastic service. The money will be used specifically to help and educate patients to recover after leaving critical care. Some of the money will also go to Ward 515 where I was treated.

Here is a link to an article by the BBC that included details of my experience:

Although we doing this as a bit of fun we also want to say thank you to those people that helped me and make our NHS great.
