3 Years ago I abseiled down a lighthouse to raise money for the RNLI. Abseil? Easy peasy.  Drink nothing but water for 2 whole weeks? Erm....yes. Not so much.

So from 27th May - 10th June 2014,  I will drink only water to raise money for those who save lives on water. Cool eh?!

No wine. No cider. No green tea. No diet coke. (Actually, you're right, WTF am I doing?)

Nothing but water for 14 days? Piece of cake right? (Note to self - will be needing LOTS of cake)

The RNLI save lives on inland waterways and at sea. They are all volunteers and they receive no government funding. If you're on the water, or even worse - in it, and you need them, they come, no questions. They drop everything at a moments notice, to go out and save lives and they do this every single day of the year.

So I reckon I ought to be able to go without wine, cider, tea & coke for just 14.  To raise some money to help them carry on saving lives. 

Arghhhhhhh No cider for:

• 2 weeks
• 14 whole days
• 336 hours
• 20,160 minutes...... 
  

Whichever way you look at it. It's going to be a bit tricky!

But probably not as tricky as going out in a small orange boat in the middle of a storm to rescue someone you've never met. But hey, we all play our part.
