Alice Caroline, a Liberty fabric shop, has recently launched a new charity project - Quilt SOS. Our goal was to provide beautiful quilts for orphaned children living within an SOS Children's Village in Romania.

Our customers have been really busy making stunning quilts for those who need them most. Alice Caroline has subsidised the quilts by providing free Liberty fabric to make them.

We have so much in our lives that we sometimes forget that there are people in the world who have virtually nothing. Our customers have done what they do best by giving the gift of love and comfort to people who need it.

The wonderful charity SOS Children’s Villages provides homes to orphaned children. Each child is looked after by a ‘mother’ in a home within the village. There are villages in 125 countries around the world; the charity works hard towards every child growing up in a loving family home so that they flourish and reach their full potential. They have been helping the world’s most vulnerable children for over 65 years.

We are raising money here to help the children even more. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible in order to pay for the following great causes in conjunction with SOS Children's Villages:

1. Trauma Therapy - the needs of these children is so great in many ways but one of the most important aspects of therapy is to help them to cope with their past. All institutionalised children have suffered an abandon trauma in the past as most of them repeatedly. We would LOVE to raise money to help with this.

2. Scholar help for the children - helping them to cope with their classroom assignments especially in maths.

Please help us to help the Romanian children - thanks for everything you have done so far in supporting this cause.  The money raised here will be sent directly to Romania to the village we are supporting.
