Anna's Skydive for Heart of England Mencap

I am completing 60 tasks before my 60th birthday in September. My late brother, John, was ten years older than me, so on what should have been his 70th birthday (24th August) I am jumping out of an aeroplane! I am sure he would have loved to have done it with me! Instead my 16 year old son, Alexander Monk, will be jumping with me, along with Peter Emerson.
I am donating all the money (we are paying for our own skydives) to Heart of England Mencap. Our younger son, Theo, died unexpectedly in 2008. He had profound and complex disabilities. He was adored by all, especially his Uncle John. I shall be using the money raised to make up music boxes to be used by adults with similar complex disabilities. I have already donated one such box in 2014 and this has proved so popular that I am raising money to make up some more for the other centres in the Warwickshire/ Worcestershire area. Providing such boxes is also a tribute to Theo who loved music. His individual music therapy sessions at school (Welcombe Hills School) were an important part of his week.
Thank you for your support. It means a lot to me and even more to the special people who will get their musical instruments!
