London Bikeathon · 24 July 2016 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the grand old age of 50 (no sniggering, younger peeps), I'll be back in the saddle again, braving London's delightful, soothing traffic for 52 miles of pedalling shenanigans. I'm making my lungs wheeze and thighs ache once more (this is my third time - will I ever learn!? - although my first since Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research rebranded as Bloodwise). It's all for a fabulously good cause: in support of Bloodwise's sterling work to beat blood cancer.

Come what may (aside from being flattened by a lorry), I know I'll have a wonderful, memorable time. Past experience of the event tells me there'll be great camaraderie on the day. But it will be all the better if I can raise a reasonable amount for the fight against cancer. So if you can give a little, please do. Or I'll come round your house dressed in lycra - truly, a terrifying apparition; sufficient to give your favourite pet a heart attack.
