Story

Hey!

My name is Becka Quantick and this is my third time of entering race for life. Last year my bestfriend and I ran it for our grandma and grandad. We ended up raising just over £450 which meant so much to both of us!

I have lost a number of relatives through cancer but the reason I am racing is because back in January 2011, my grandad was diagnosed with methothelioma which is a rare form of lung cancer. He battled through thick and thin for just over a year and on 31st January 2012 he sadly passed away.

Not only was he my grandad but he was a like a best friend who would just always be there to pick you back up again when feeling down. He was such a big part of my life! Not only am I running for him but also for the cancer research charity. It is such a great cause. Therefore any donations really would be greatly appreciated! :)

Many thanks for your support!
