We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

My wonderful grandad Zakaszewski was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus last year. Sadly, he passed away on 9th May 2006, aged 79. He was the most amazing grandad that anyone could ever ask for and we all miss him so much. He was so brave even when he was suffering and he will be in our hearts forever.

I am taking part in the race for life in memory of my brave and corageous grandad and to help prevent other people losing their loved ones to this awful disease.

My lovely grandma and all of my grandad's children, grand-children and great-grandchildren have lost the most amazing husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather that anyone could ever wish to have. I am so grateful that he was part of my life and he has taught me so many important lessons and has given me so many wonderful memories that i will take with me for the rest of my life.

Please consider sponsoring me for this race to help support cancer research so that one day we can find a cure for this disease.

Many thanks for your support,

Cass   x x x
