Story
Cheers for viewing my page!
Most of you will know about the battle I've had with my weight during my adolescence. I've now slimmed down to a size 10 from a size 18 and I've finally got fit enough to run properly.
But that's not the main reason I'm running in this race. I volunteer for Cancer Research at their charity shop in Leicester every weekend and I wanted to do this race not just as a personal fitness achievement, but in momento to my dearly missed Aunt Vanessa. Vanessa was sadly taken from us a few years ago, she died from pneumonia but she also had critical undiagnosed lung cancer. I want to raise a little money to help towards preventing other people losing their awesome and vivacious Aunties, Sisters, Daughters etc to cancer.
I promise I will RUN the whole 5k in memory of my Aunt Nessie.
If you can donate even just the smallest amount, even if it's just for the sheer pleasure and hilarity of seeing this former fatty run the whole 5k (my remaining cheek fat wobbles up and down when I run, it looks quite funny), I would be most greatful.
I have to tell the customers at the shop this too -
Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Sponsor me now, and we can become cancer's worst nightmare!
Many thanks for your support. Together we will beat cancer.
