This is a personal challenge for me. I only began running in February of this year and being able to run 5k is something I never thought I'd be capable of doing!

On the day, I will be running in memory of 3 very special people in my life who were taken by cancer: My paternal Grandfather, my Father-in-Law and the "Doctor Who" actress Elisabeth Sladen, whom I once had the pleasure to meet a few years ago and whose unexpected death hit me quite hard.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
