Tracy Wilkinson is raising money for Cancer Research UK
Story
I won't be smiling like this once I've done the race (i'll be sparked out on the sofa!!), but I will if I raise looooooads of money for Cancer Research :)
Most of us know someone who has been touched by Cancer. I'm doing this race in memory of my Grandad, who I never got to meet before he died from the disease. I hope that by raising some cash I will be able to help some other little girl or boy meet their grandad, or whoever it is that without the fantastic work of Cancer Research might not be here.
I also want to do this race for everyone I know that has lost someone from Cancer, and for everyone we know that has overcome it and has become an inspiration to others - In particular Janet Pearson, who is an amazing woman who fought the battle and won and who I think deserves a mention.

Tracy ******************************************************************************** UPDATE 01.06.05 As some of you will know we have had some very bad news lately. My Nana has been diagnosed with breast cancer. We are waiting for the results of some tests to see what the score is, but it surely brings home the fact that this disease is horrible and can happen to anyone - regardless of age, sex, wealth etc... it doesn't discriminate, and whether you're 37 like Kylie or 88 like my Nana, you need help from Cancer Reseach, and the only way to get that is to raise money. I wanted to do this race to help 'people' - people with cancer, although at the time I signed up I didn't know anyone who had it. Now, it's personal. Please help me raise as much as I can and help people like my lovely Nana. Thankyou ******************************************************************************
