Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My plans have had to change somewhat and I am now postponing my running until October because of a foot injury. The money that has been pledged will obviously still be going to PCUK and I thank everyone for helping me hit my fundraising target.
I am doing this race for charity and I am committed to raising a minimum of £350. I hope this will raise awareness for pancreatic cancer research, and the money will go towards finding a treatment for a condition that has proven remarkably stubborn to cure/treat over the years.
By the way, the voice of the Radio 4 appeal last year for
the charity was a person we all know and love... Alison Steadman (Pamelaaaa from Gavin and Stacey, among many other roles).

As you are probably aware, I have been running the Anagrammy
Awards competition for a while now. I took over in May 2016 from the outgoing Awardsmaster of some 18 years, Dr. Larry Brash. Very sadly, I learned he passed away on November 23rd last year aged 69 from complications arising from a surgical procedure associated with the pancreatic cancer I didn't even realize he had.
I would like to dedicate my running of this race to Larry.
The good news is I am in the form of my life. I have a
couple of other shorter runs lined up between now and then and I hope to stay fit and healthy (I have lost nearly a stone since May!) so I can make a serious challenge on my long term goal of breaking 2 hours for the first time at my 8th attempt!
The race finishes in Greenwich, having just passed through
Lewisham and I am hoping to meet up with my lovely cousins who live in those necks of the woods. Friends and family available on the day to help make it a memorable occasion, please save the date and come along.
Lovenhugs Chris (aka HSP)
