Most of us gave up rowing over 10 years ago but we still experience the benefits in terms of health, wellbeing, resilience and, importantly, friendship and community. We would like other young people to have the same opportunity. We are grateful for any sponsorship to motivate us and help this amazing charity. 

We're taking part in Race The Thames Virtual 2022! Race The Thames is the annual fundraising event run by London Youth Rowing (LYR). As a team, we will cover 346km (the length of the Thames) over a week by rowing, running, swimming and walking the distance. We're managing busy jobs in the NHS, night shifts for the RNLI during the week, juggling work with child/dog care, multiple injuries and, frankly, age. Any sponsorship, no matter how small will help keep us going..!!

The money raised will be used to help support LYR's work in London and Leeds. LYR's programmes allow young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to take part in rowing, giving them the benefit of participating in the sport and allowing them to fulfil their potential.
