I wanted to complete this half marathon for Alzheimer’s Society 2 years ago, but this time  2 years ago I could not even walk let alone run. Yet, in the last two years Alzheimer’s Society has really supported my family and continues to do so. I did not really understand the impact that Alzheimer’s can have on an individual and their family until experiencing someone close to me being diagnosed with the illness. Whilst some weeks can be good, other weeks can be difficult and upsetting. 

To spare any money for such an amazing charity would be greatly appreciated. There is so much research already being done to prevent this illness progressing, if found at the right time, and this can make a phenomenal difference!

Already Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
