Story
It is with so much sadness that we have created this page for donations in memory of Andy Jones who unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday 19th July. Laura has created a separate remembrance book to capture the memories and happy times from everyone who loved Andy. We have asked for family flowers only at the funeral so if anyone would like to donate in his memory it will be very much appreciated. Marie Curie was Andy's chosen charity due to the amazing care they provide for people at end of life, but also due to the connection with his sister, Rachel, who works for Marie Curie in Wales. All donations will be spent on something specific in Andy's memory xx
For those that don't know much about Marie Curie, here's some more about what they do....
Our nurses, doctors, therapists and social workers provide expert care and support both to the people staying with us at the hospice, and in the local community. Each day at the hospice is special. By getting to know people as individuals, we help them do what is important to them whether that's getting out into the hospice garden to enjoy the views across the sea, having a beloved pet visit come to visit or sharing precious moments with their loved ones. We need to raise £8,311 per day to run the hospice, so every penny counts. Thank you for helping to make sure more people with a terminal illness in Cardiff and the Vale get the care and support they need.
