The Team comprises 40 unpaid volunteers, and is on call 24/7, 365 days a year in all weathers. It is funded by donations. There is significant on-going training in advanced first aid, mountain and water rescue. Achieved through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of their employers.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have always loved walking and have been lucky enough never to have needed to call Mountain Rescue. We tend to take their services and their very existence for granted. All Mountain Rescue Teams are volunteers and all the  equipment is funded by donations from the general public. Those who know me well will know  I am terrified of large spiders.  I am prepared to attempt to conquer this fear if I can raise at least £500 for Penrith Mountain Rescue Team.
