Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It has now been 2 years since I experienced Postpartum Psychosis, a rare and serious but treatable mental health illness that can develop after having a baby.  Together as a team of 11, we will be walking 1400 miles in November in support of Action on Postpartum Psychosis and their #MilesForMumsAndBabies challenge in support of the 1400 women that experience Postpartum Psychosis in the UK each year. Each mile reflects the journey each of these mums, babies, partners and families travel to be together, whilst mums receive care in Mother and Baby Units.

Action on Postpartum psychosis campaign for Mother and Baby Units (MBUs), so that mums affected by postpartum psychosis can receive the treatment they need. They raise awareness of postpartum psychosis, provide support and information to mums and families affected, train health professionals and conduct research to better understand the illness. Last year we raised £1615 which went towards helping the charity continue their invaluable work and support to so many families. This year we aim to help them with their pledge to raise over £10,000 in 2021.

We would really appreciate any donation or even just sharing our page would be a great help!
