5 years ago I planned to ride in the historic Newmarket Town Plate race held annually at the July Course. Unfortunately in the June I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and so could not take part. I had surgery to remove the lump and completed a course of Chemo and radio therapy. This year is the 5 year anniversary of that life changing event so It seems fitting that I can ride this year in support of cancer research. 1 in 2 of us will suffer from this disease in their lifetime and we need all the research available to find new ways to ensure more people recover and get to live out their dreams
