Many of you know I joined the amazing team at the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in April last year. 

Since joining I have witnessed first hand how important this resource is to the people of Yorkshire. Not only how the aircraft can impact the speed of reaching patients but also what the team can bring to the care of a critically ill patient. 

I also have a greater appreciation of how much it costs to keep both aircraft flying over Yorkshire. 

This is why I’ve decided to do something crazy and throw myself out of a plane! Although I’m not scared of heights the thought of jumping out at 10,000ft fills me with dread! 😬
