Story

RIGHT MY LOVELY PEOPLE... THIS IS WHAT WE'RE UP TO...

My very good friend King Diggens and I are running the London MARATHON on 26th April this year for the PHYLLIS TUCKWELL HOSPICE - 26.2 miles!! THAT'S A VERY LONG WAY..!!

Between us we have completed many other races for the hospice and as part of our training:

7th January - Polar Night Half Marathon - COMPLETE..!! Yes - this one was up in the freezing Arctic circle..!! 13.1 miles in sub zero conditions and snow.. IT WAS VERY COLD..!!

5th February - London Winter Run - COMPLETE..!! 10k round the awesome streets of London.. it was a winter run and COLD but nothing compared to the arctic circle..!!

26th February - Thorpe Park Half Marathon - COMPLETE..!! They said it was 'flat and fast' - but it was actually more like a roller coaster..!! (HATE the hills..!!) :)

12th March - Surrey Half Marathon - COMPLETE..!! A great run although it absolutely chucked it down and we got DRENCHED..!!

25th March - Bolt Around the Holt - COMPLETE..!! 10k through Alice Holt Forest.. The last race before the London Marathon that's coming up alarmingly fast..!!

Our efforts are all in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell hospice, where we are trying to raise as much as we can.

Why are we raising money for this great cause?

The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice offers Specialist Palliative Care to adults facing the end of their life and to those who love and care for them. Please view the video on my page to find out more about the hospice and the great work they do. You can also visit their website at: http://www.pth.org.uk

Rachel's grandad Harold ('H') O'Grady was looked after by the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham before he sadly passed away, and the staff there were AMAZING. These people truly are angels. Anyone out there who has been touched by the work of a hospice will know how important the caring they provide can be. Those they care for, their friends and family will always need and greatly appreciate this service and we are committed to helping them to make sure others can benefit as my family and I have done.

The hospice offers their care FREE OF CHARGE to those who need them most. However, it costs the hospice £20,000 per day to operate, only 16 % of which is covered by the NHS ~ less than HALF the national average for hospices!!

Please give all you can towards this great cause.
