Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. You can either use your celebrating points (see details below) to give your contribution or if you wish you can do it directly using this page. Any amount you can donate will make a great difference!
Instructions to Donate with Celebrating Performance Points:
Accenture Race to the Eye Challenge 2012
Celebrating Performance Donations
Q1. What is celebrating performance?
Celebrating Performance (https://celebratingperformance.accenture.com) is a system set up a while ago to
recognize and reward performance through giving Accenture employees points that they can spend on items in a
catalogue (all online). If someone reports into you, you will receive an allocation of points that you then can award
to people for good performance.
Q2. How do I donate my points to VSO?
1) https://celebratingperformance.accenture.com
2) Click on ‘Rewards’
3) Then under ‘search’ enter VSO (see below)
4) Follow the process to make a donation.
5) VSO will automatically receive a note from celebrating performance saying that you have donated
(although it is always worth sending VSO an email to let them know that you have made a donation).
Q3. Can colleagues donate their points to VSO to support me?
Yes, your colleagues can use their points to make a donation to benefit you (i.e. instead or in addition to
sponsorship money). The process here is quite simple:
Your colleague goes on to the website and uses their points to donate to VSO as described above.
You/your colleague should send an email to george.pearce@vso.org.uk and tell her that VSO will be
Receiving a donation from (your colleagues name) for $x and that this should be credited to your account.
Q4. What should donors put as the ‘shipping address’ for the donation?
This can just be the donor’s address, donations will automatically go to VSO.
Q5. Which points can you use?
You can only use points that have been awarded to you and not points you have in your budget to allocate to
others.
Q6. Where does this money appear?
VSO will receive this money and will add it to the total you see in the fortnightly spreadsheet. It will not appear on
justgiving (this is a standalone system), but you can add this to your offline total if you want (VSO only use the
money they actually receive from VSO).
Q7. Why do I see a different amount for points per $25 award?
This is due to currency differences. Essentially the value of points is based on your local currency.
Q8. Why is there a cost for postage and packaging?
Celebrating Performance write and send a cheque (with an accompanying letter to VSO) and levy this charge for
that service. Unfortunately, there is a contractual agreement between Accenture and Celebrating Performance
and can not be changed.
Q9. How long will it take for my Celebrating Performance Points donation to be credited to my fundraising
total?
VSO will be able to acknowledge with you as soon as your donation is received by VSO in dollars (usually around
6 - 8 weeks after the donation is made) and will accredit the corresponding GBP amount (as per the current
exchange rate) to your record. It can take longer so please do not be concerned if it reaches the end of 8 weeks
and you haven't heard from us, we will receipt every donation by email on an individual basis once it has
been received.
Q10. What donation details do I need to supply VSO (george.pearce@vso.org.uk) with?
In order to help us process these donations as quickly as possible please it is very important that you
alert VSO (over email) to any donation of points made in aid of your fundraising. So that we can make sure
points are properly credited, VSO need to know:
- who made the donation
- the order number
- the date the order was placed
- the amount in dollars/number of points donated
