My name is Rafi, I am from the south west of England & I will be running a half marathon to raise money for those affected by the conflict running in Palestine. The date & venue of my run is in London, on the 13th of September 2015.

As most people, you may have heard about the conflict that is occuring in Palestine, with thousands killed, injured & left homeless, we may count our blessings that we are not in the situation these people are in today. 

Majority of the population left without basic necessities such clothes, water, food, hygiene items, medical attention or a roof over their heads, there is no way families can pick themselves out yet alone children who have been left without a family due to the terror.

Air strikes & fighting have damaged schools, hospitals & homes, emergency service are unavailable like they used to be & importing goods/resources are becoming more tricky on borders due to restrictions. 

With the support of great charities such as Islamic Relief, these families can start picking themselves up, Islamic Relief are providing essential medical supplies, clothing, food & clean water to slowly help the people who need it most to get back on their feet.

Life isn't fair for everyone but we can make it a little bit more better for the people of Palestine.

£50 - Provides clean drinking water for 20 people in Palestine.

£150 - can supply a hospital in Gaza with food for a day & be able to feed 450 people.

£500 - Provides 10 families with emergency/essential items.

£2,000 - Provides a hospital in Palestine with essential medical supplies for one week!

While we sit at home, enjoy the heat, being able to access clean water to have a bath/shower, be able to run to the local store for cheap food & enjoy browsing the web whenever we can, we must think, the money we spend here, could be used better elsewhere & help those who really need it, just to get the necessities, we get easily here.

We can't solve the crisis but we can make it easier for the people of Palestine, donate what you can afford & hopefully we can make an impact.
