At Ramadan Legacy, we support hundreds of thousands of Muslims with one of the pillars of Islam - Ramadan.

This year, in 2016, we wanted to go even further. We wanted to help hundreds of thousands of Muslims have access to clean water.

In Syria, there are over 12 million people who do not have access to basic humanitarian assistance such as clean water. We thought we would do something about that and support one of the most besieged areas in Syria.

There are 100,000 people in Qalamoun - the Northern area of Damascas, Syria - who do not have access to safe clean drinking water. The majority of people are poor and deteriorating.

The project includes drilling wells in two different areas of Qalamoun, and installing a submersible pump, necessary supplies and a reservoir to assemble water.
