Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike

Mighty Hike Northumberland Coast 2019 · 6 July 2019 ·
I am doing this hike in memory of my Grandad and Uncle who both lost their lives to cancer. In 2007 my Grandad fell ill and was quickly diagnosed with cancer, 1 week later and he was gone. I was 17 year old at the time and it really hit me hard as I was so close to him a man that taught me a lot. 3 years after my Grandad, my Uncle who was also my best mate and idol was diagnosed with the same disease this would come to hit me even harder and something that took me a very long time to come to terms with, he lived for around 6 months before he lost his battle. In his last month's we done as much as we possibly could together and cherished every last moment I had with him. It made me understand how precious time is. Over the years I have come to experience cancer in other situations meeting people who have suffered or are suffering or have someone close to them suffering. I always try my best to give support and understanding to those people having known and understood how it feels to go through it. That is why I am doing this hike to raise awareness, to give support and to raise that vital money needed to help those who need it the most. Please help me in whatever way you can any money you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
