Please sponsor me. I'm one of 60 poets performing at the  non-stop 10 hour Poem-A-Thon at the Poetry Cafe, Covent Garden. The event runs from noon to 10pm on Saturday 18th May and I'm reading at 3.50pm - it would be lovely to see some friends there in the audience! The aim of the Poem-A-Thon is to raise funds for the Poetry Society's work and each of the 60 poets is hoping to get sponsorship from friends and family. Money raised will go towards the development and upkeep of the Poetry Society's premises in Covent Garden and support the Society's mission generally, advocating poetry through educational and talent development programmes.
