Rana's Refugee Week Challenge

Refugee Week Challenge · 26 February 2018
For this week, I am going to be living off only £37 - which actually goes down to £17 as I'm taking away the cost of bus tickets (I have a pre-paid bus pass that I use to go to university everyday).
Asylum seekers live off £36.95 a week - so I'm actually living off 5p more. They have no right to work and cannot save ANY of the money. Think about how much you spend on a night out, or on a £4 meal deal for lunch - this is something I am truly passionate about and want to raise awareness for.
All the money raised will go straight to our local Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre who do an absolutely amazing job in the local community for the many refugees in the area.
Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre was formed in 2000 to support vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants within the city. We help these people rebuild their lives and achieve their full potential, supporting their integration into the city’s local communities and encouraging them to contribute fully to the life of Coventry; all while in safety and with dignity. To achieve this, we offer a range of free and impartial advice which includes therapy, English lessons, housing support, employment and legal advice.
