2 years ago I started running with my 2 very good friends using the couch to 5k app. I honestly did not understand that first evening what a journey I was embarking on. With a chronic illness I can't always do what I want, aa fast as I want or when I want to, but running allows me to take it at my own pace & helps me keep on top of my mental health

Running has empowered me to reclaim my own space in the world, as has working alongside the formidable women at RCTN. I am no longer frightened of going outside alone, I know what it is to have powerful & compassionate women surrounding, supporting & believing you.
