We share our lives with cats. They bring happiness to millions of us every day. Yet too many cats don’t get the care and kindness they deserve. At Cats Protection we stand up for every cat to make life better for cats and the people who care for them.

Story

Please sponsor us in aid of "Save a Cat From a Freezing Winter Appeal".   This coming Saturday, 25 January, from 9am, until 9am of Sunday 25 January, 5 of our volunteers will be living in cat pens for 24 hours to raise money to help the stray and unwanted cats forced to live outdoors this winter.  Thanks to the fabulous Top Cats Cattery in Hockley we will be staying in luxurious pens but we will be living like some of our cats for a whole 24 hours!

The cats that stay at Top Cats Cattery are the lucky ones.   We re-homed 372 cats and kittens in 2013 but have you ever wondered where they all come from?  We are contacted by people every day to take their cats from them, for a variety of reasons, but what about the strays and homeless cats, at times fed by kind people concerned about them, but all of which need to be found new homes of their own?

Saxon, the white and black cat in the photo, is one such cat.  He was hit by a car before we could get him into our care and he had to undergo vet treatment.  He's now fully recovered and ready for a new home of his own and we have many more cats like him.

Armitage, also in the photos, is the most recent cat we've taken in.  Found in an appalling state, he's being treated at the vets and your kindness and generosity will directly help him.   We would like to take all the strays off the streets in this area this winter and find them new homes and loving owners.   With your help, we can.  Please sponsor us with however much you can afford.
