Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you all know we lost our beautiful Jaime-Ella to an inoperable brain tumour. I like to talk about her all the time and talk to her just as often! We have our chats about how beautiful the rainbow is that she has painted for us in the sky and how she must be haveing a fun time up there! I went to Derian House when Jaime was admitted and I could not ask for a more welcome place for her. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. If you had a question they would take the time to answer it and if they did not know the answer they would find a person who did know. This is my contribution to them on thanking them for a peaceful time Jaime had with them. Thank you.
So please dig deep and donate now.
This is a rundown of what I will be doing...
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
A 25 mile circular challenge walk, the Three Peaks of Yorkshire normally starts and finishes at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire - Pen-y-ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) - in that order. The total distance may vary slightly, as there are a few minor route options, but for most the walk will be just under 25 miles, visiting Ribblehead and Chepel-Le-Dale.
Although walkers will often not be too far from civilisation, this long walk is still demanding, and is not a waymarked route. Map and compass skills will be required, especially when navigating over the Moss, and on the summits if visibility is poor. The total climb is some 5,200 feet, and the footpaths can be very wet and boggy in some places, rugged and rocky in others. Some sections are on fast country roads.
You should plan your route, organise accommodation, and ensure you have the correct walking and emergency equipment and clothing for the open Yorkshire Dales.
