Last year i lost my beloved brother-in-law to the awful disease that is cancer following a short battle. He had been part of my life for over 20 years and things will never be the same without him. He left behind my sister and young nephew and niece and that feeling is one that our family would never wish on anyone.

Unfortunately, this was not the first time our family was devastated by cancer as i lost my father when i was 19 and this felt a lot like history repeating itself...which is all too common where cancer is concerned.

Neil was extremely active and an inspiration to us all so it seemed only fitting that i would try something sporting to raise money for both his memory and to try and find a cure for cancer.... he would be laughing at the thought of me trying to run!!

I would be extremely grateful for any donations you can spare, even one pound might make a difference to finding the cure, providing treatment to extend people's time together, or provide counselling to support those left behind so please don't think it won't make a difference.
