Elliot’s story

In October 2022, Elliot was admitted to hospital with a bone infection in his leg. After surgery it was discovered, he had a rare bacteria in his bone. This led to his diagnosis of Chronic Granulomatous Disorder - CGD.

CGD is a rare immune condition that affects an estimated 8 in a million people. Having CGD means that Elliot is unable to fight bacterial and fungal infections, due to a faulty immune system gene. He needs daily antibiotics to fight these infections. His only curative option is to have a bone marrow transplant.

The CGD Society support families affected by CGD and have been helping us since the diagnosis back in October.

Any donation will make a positive impact on the support received by families affected by CGD all over the world.

Thank you 🤍
