We provide unconditional friendship, support and practical help to people in crisis and in need. We work with children, homeless people, all adult victims of modern slavery and those dealing with drug and/or alcohol addiction

Story

Because I like a challenge... and also because I've never been able to say no to the most ridiculous ideas, I - with Rachelle, whose idea it was and who I'm blaming completely - am cycling from London to Brussels, via Amsterdam.

We're raising funds for The Salvation Army. These work tirelessly in local communities, providing unconditional friendship, support and very practical help to people in crisis and need and work with children, older people, homeless people and those dealing with drug and/or alcohol problems.

Day 1: London - Harwich. 64 miles to the overnight ferry. Cycling through the apparently beautiful Essex countryside.

Day 2: Hook of Holland - Amsterdam. 62 miles. No time for taking in the varied and wondrous sights of Amsterdam though sadly.

Day 3: Amsterdam - Breda. 81 miles. Most of today is on the flat, so 81 miles will be a breeze...

Day 4: Breda - Brussels. 76 miles. Stunning countryside that we will see whizzing by us as we hurtle* along. (*crawl)

Please, help me make this all worth while by donating whatever you can. THANK YOU!

Rebecca xx
