Thames Path Challenge 2016 · 10 September 2016 to 11 September 2016 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm on a mission to continually improve my fitness AND to achieve items on my 'life list' (you can visit this at http://rectorswifelifelist.blogspot.co.uk/). One of these is 'to walk a marathon', and this is part of my training for that. I've recently managed a 12.25 mile hike (see photo) so this 15 mile walk is the next stage.

I'm doing the Thames Bridges Trek - 25 km from Putney Bridge to Southwark - on Saturday 10 September.

I've chosen to fundraise for Pancreatic Cancer UK as I've lost two very dear friends to this ghastly disease in recent years, both far too fast and far too young. £150 is my minimum sponsorship requirement, but having all but achieved that I've doubled that target and hope that my friends will be able to help me out.
