Reena Dwivedi is raising money for Doctors for Nepal

50mile Tandem Cycle to Support Urgent COVID19 Response · 4 July 2021

Doctors for Nepal provides full scholarships to underprivileged Nepalese students who pledge to work in rural Nepal for an agreed period of time once qualified as doctors, nurses and midwives.

Story

The situation in India and Nepal has devastated families and communities, including my own.

We feel the need to take action, support those working tirelessly in difficult situations and try to show solidarity for communities facing fear and tragedy.

Our unique cycle ride involves a journey from Liverpool to Chester, made more challenging on a bright red tandem bike, to raise money for two incredible causes supporting communities in Nepal and India :

  1. Doctors for Nepal, a group supporting doctors and medical students treating some of the most remote and devastated communities in Nepal.
  2. Give India, a donation platform supporting and coordinating essential efforts in India.

Your donation will contribute to lifesaving equipment for patients, enabling essential access to medicine and oxygen and providing much needed protective equipment for healthcare staff on the ground.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
