We provide high-quality specialist care to local people with serious illnesses

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have created the page because on the 29th September 2019 I lost my beautiful wife Jamie to cancer.

Jamie was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in 2018 and despite the best effort of the doctors and nurses who cared for her, and her own strength and determination we lost Jamie to this horrible disease.

Anybody who knows Jamie will tell you that she personified life itself.  She was bright, full of energy, enthusiastic and uncompromising at times.

All of which came together to make the most fabulous person you could ever wish to meet.

Grief is a funny thing, for me and the rest of Jamie's family the sense of loss is massive but I also feel proud and privileged to have been able to call her my wife.

In her last days Jamie was cared for by the incredible team at St Giles.

She left very strict instructions that if anybody wanted to pay there respects they should do it by helping St Giles rather than spending money on flowers she wouldn't get to enjoy.

So please, give whatever you can, whatever the amount as it will make a difference to an amazing place doing amazing work.

Thanks for giving and please remember Jamie.
