Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising funds for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-dissability (RHN) in memory of a very close family friend, Graham Hollins. In 2017, Graham was given the horrific news that he had an aggressive brain tumour that would mean his life expectancy was unlikely to extend beyond 15 years, and could be as short as 5. He fought bravely through two rounds of surgery, isolation during COVID and debilitating complications.
Graham was admitted to the RHN when his rehabilitation required highly specialist therapy and care. Places in this amazing facility are hard to come by and it is run as a charity. Graham had access to incredible doctors and nurses and it undoubtedly extended his life and in many ways facilitated what would be his final and happy chapter in Australia.
Graham was fun, sometimes outrageous and extremely charismatic. He was a fierce friend who was loved by all. This page is aiming to raise as much money as possible for the work the RHN does to help others who are in the same position as Graham was. Hopefully we can help a number of people in an extremely tough part of their lives, and maybe on to happier chapters.
The Chavasse family will be completing 10km and half marathon runs to continue raising money for the RHN on the 1st of March around the Olympic Park in London.
For more information on the RHN, please have a look at their website: What we do - Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (rhn.org.uk)
Thank you for your support,
