Story
Hello. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.
You're here because of a marvellous man called Matthew Shepherd, who you may or may not have known. He was committed to conservation and spent many hours volunteering in Ryton Wood Meadow, Warwickshire.
Creative and relentlessly curious, Matthew was one of those people who could turn his hand to anything. He was a talented potter, designer, baker, runner and an incredible photographer. Check out some of his photos below, or on instagram here:

Matthew died last year on 21st April, aged forty-seven years. He was gentle, funny, passionate and is sorely missed. One of the ways his family and friends have marked his anniversary is with a nationwide craftbomb, releasing hundreds of knitted, crocheted, stitched and ceramic butterflies into the wild. We'd love to know if you found one...
If you've made it to this page, then you're clearly a superior human: curious, generous and exceptionally good looking. We'd absolutely love it if you could make a donation to his charity right now. Donate because you knew Matthew, or because it's an excellent charity, or because a handmade butterfly caught your eye and brightened your day.
Whatever your reason, every donation reminds Matthew's family and friends that he is still making a difference in a million unknowable ways, just as he did in life.
Today's a day to do something good, don't you think?
Thank you.
