Training is well underway, with only 10 weeks to go until ‘Marathon Day’ on April 26th. Which also means I only have 10 weeks to raise as much money as possible for MNDA - the amazing charity fighting for and supporting the sufferers of the cruel cruel disease MND. 

This was not supposed to be a run “In Memory Of”, but having lost Stuarts lovely mum to this horrible disease last year I am urged on even more to support the charity as much as I can - and I know Ann will be with me every step of the way on the big day.

As my daughter said to me last week after a really good swimming lesson, “Mummy the sky looks really happy - I think that’s Gran saying she is proud of me”. 

My wonderful mother in law fought this illness for over 3 years, and whilst it robbed her of the things we all take for granted; walking, talking, eating.. she always faced it with strength, bravery, a positive attitude and a smile. She will continue to be an inspiration to us all. 

The MND association helped beyond belief over the last few years. They are a very hands on charity not only providing help and advice from the outset, but also financial support with medical equipment and home improvements to improve quality of life - that’s without the funding that goes into researching treatments and the hope of one day finding a cure. 

Every little helps, so please help us to say thank you for all the support we received - and to help anyone else who has to face the same heartbreaking journey.
