The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund is the leading UK charity for doctors, medical students and their families. The RMBF provides financial support, money advice and information when it is most needed due to age, ill health, disability or bereavement.

Story

I am going to be walking up the seven hills of Edinburgh from Saturday the 11th of February to Tuesday the 14th. I am doing this fundraising for the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund, from Medic Mentors. The RMBF focuses on helping current and aspiring doctors and nurses, helping them through medical school and as their time as a doctor or nurse. I think this is very important, because the NHS is having trouble recovering from Covid due to under-funding, and they have a major lack of staffing. I am aspiring to be a doctor, so I would really appreciate anyone who donates to this cause, because it will help many others like me on their journey.

During my walks, I will be taking certain routes to spell out letters. Each hill will have one letter, and together they will spell out MEDICAL, as this is the theme of the fundraising. I have included an example plan of my route on Arthur's Seat with this passage of text. I will be using an app to track my routes showing the letters, along with a photo on the summit of each hill.

Any possible donations will be gratefully received.

I am using the Fitbit app to track the letters, and I have uploaded them to the Photo Gallery along with pictures of me on top of each of the seven hills.
