Snowdon Push 2016 · 1 July 2016 to 3 July 2016 ·

Back Up services include mentoring, wheelchair skills training and activity courses as well as support in getting back to work or school after an injury. We provide peer led tailored support to help people adjust to a spinal cord injury and inspire independence and confidence for a positive future.

Story

We are preparing to try and re-gain our Snowdon Push charity wheel chair race title, this will be our 7th attempt at this race and we’ve previously won it three times & hopefully we can go faster and break our current course record of 2 hours and 46 minutes - We have also been sponsored by RGK with a new set of bigger wheels so this year we have no excuses for going slower!!!

This is the Back up Trusts 30th year, and as such they are hoping to secure more money for charity. Also as mentioned before This is not the first time we’ve done this event, this is a link to a BBC article from 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/6693933.stm and the following is a link to an award Rhys was given last year to recognise all the good work he’s done for the Back-up trust http://www.wcva.org.uk/about-us/news/2015/06/awards-for-people-working-to-make-life-better-for-others-%E2%80%93-home-and-away
