Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you that know me, I like to do the odd event for charity every now and then. Most of it is based around my job as a Firefighter for Avon Fire and Rescue Service.
This May I will be running to and from work for every shift I work in the month of May which is a total of 32 runs for the 16 shifts I’m working. The distance is 14km to Bath Fire Station from my House. This averages 112km per tour of duty, and I have four tours to complete in May. This is a grand total of 448 KM which is 280 Miles. I will be running in full Firefighting Kit to raise awareness and hopefully money for Prostate Cancer UK. My dad has recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, and he needs to undergo a few months of treatment including Radiotherapy. He’s been there for me through many tough times in my life, so I’m supporting him and his journey through fundraising for this amazing charity.
Please, if you can, sponsor me to help kick Cancer in the Balls this May.
I will be providing updates on each run and posting my runs via the Nike Run app on this page so you can track my progress.
