Action Duchenne

We fund research into Duchenne MD to help everyone affected by the condition

Story

Firstly, thanks for taking time out of your day to visit this page. My name is Rich Slater and if I've never met you before in person at one of the many shows and events I've attended or organised, hopefully you may well have enjoyed some of the many payware and freeware aircraft and scenery add-ons I've been involved in over the years. If I may, I would like to ask you to make a contribution towards a very worthy cause.
Back in 2015, a family friend received the devastating news that their youngest son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This is a muscle wasting disease with a very poor prognosis. Our friends have decided to tackle this head on by going to work for Action Duchenne, a charity that offers similarly affected families vital support and funds research to improve quality of life and hopefully one day find a cure.
In an effort to support them and raise some money for this worthy cause, my partner and I have been training hard through this horrible British winter in order to tackle the Brighton marathon on the 9th April. This has been a massive challenge for us personally as neither of us have been particularly sporty, and our lives had become quite sedimentary since starting a family. However, much weight has been shifted, buckets of sweat sweated and I think we're about ready to tackle all 26.2 long miles of it!
Anything you can contribute would be so gratefully received, and really will be put to very good work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
