Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

My Grandma Marjorie Warden suffered and died from MND in 1988. She was a very kind, healthy and most loving person all her life and yet she deteriorated quickly and died a horrible death within about 10 months of her diagnosis.

I have decided that to mark my 521st and last month of working for Sussex Police during every day in March 2022 I would take on this long and painful challenge (for a cronky 62 year old) to raise as much money as possible - to support MND sufferers, provide essential resources and research - with the help of you, my colleagues, friends and family.

As an ex-rugby player I have of course also been greatly moved by the strength and dignity of Doddie Wier and Rob Burrows and thank them for inspiring me to do this for MND.

Please read the MND Association 'The Difference You Could Make' page to see how money donated can be spent.
