I had planned to do this walk before knowing that I was about to be hit with the diagnosis of advanced bowel cancer.  It's been tempting to pull out of it as I really don't feel at my strongest but with chemotherapy and radiotherapy due to start the day after the walk finishes I thought I'd give it a shot while I still have a chance to do it.

It will be a whole load easier to go through the aches and pains of the walk and to go through the unpleasant side effects of the chemo in the following few months if my heart has been warmed through the knowledge that I have helped to raise some much-needed funds for this wonderful charity. So if you can help with that it would be hugely appreciated!
