The London to Brighton Bike Ride is an event I have been wanting to take part in for a very long time but i have never been brave enough to enter. In the summer I started cycling regularly as a way to lose some weight, which has been going really well as I have lost a stone already and feel much better for it.This has really spurred me on to cycle more so now I am cycling about 15 miles at least 4 times a week and this has given me the courage to enter this fantastic event. 

As a kid I used to take part in swimming galas for the British Heart Foundation and really enjoyed the sense of achievement it gave me so I am really looking forward to this challenge. I will keep you all up to date with my training, I am riding around 60 miles per week at the moment and will be looking to increase this over the next few week so that I am ready for the big event and hopefully I will lose a bit more weight on the way. Any support you can show me in the way of a small donation would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance Rich x

I have now entered another event, on Sunday 23rd September I will be attempting to ride 100 miles for the Velo South Endurance Race taking place at Glorious Goodwood starting and finishing at the Motor Racing Circuit. This means I have had to increase my fund raising Target up to £700 so please give generously to this very worth while life saving cause.
