At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello!

This September, I will be taking on the sportiest challenge of my life so far by participating in the Lancaster University triathlon. This will involve 400m in the pool, 20km on a bike and a 5km run.

In the past few months, I have been working hard to prepare myself for all three events - particularly following the Couch to 5K program to improve my running ability - so I'm hopeful for a respectable performance on the day!

I have chosen to use this opportunity to support the Alzheimer's Society, due to incidences of this particular disease in my family. All donations will help the Society continue to support people with dementia, and fund research projects on dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for visiting my page - I will be providing updates on my progress!
