Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I have randomly decided to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats.... I came up with the idea just after the New Year when trying to decide what to do over the next couple of months. I start full time work in April so I'm glad I've come up with something fun/challenging/worthwhile to be getting on with until then.
As I only decided last week my details aren't exact yet but I'm aiming to start on February 23rd from Land's End and finish at John O'Groats on March 9th - so about 1050 miles over 15 days. Before then I have a lot of preparation to get on with including planning my exact route, prepping my bike, 7 weeks of training and most importantly, raising money for my charity!
I'm raising money for Saint Michaels Hospice in Harrogate. The work they do is amazing and they run almost entirely on donations. The hospice exists to improve the lives of people affected by terminal illness, both those living with it and their families and carers. I have had two grandparents spend their last few weeks there and the care they received was unsurpassed.
I will update this page as I progress with my training. My furthest bike ride to date is 33 miles so I have quite a way to go! I'm also planning to update during the trip, or maybe write a blog...any suggestions would be appreciated.
Any donation, big or small, would be really appreciated - and remember to tick the Gift Aid box!
Finally, if anyone is interested in joining me for a leg or two of my trip then let me know!
