Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have never attempted a Marathon before. I have completed 2 Half Marathons in the past 6 years and not much else.

So far, I have completed 14 weeks of a 20 week training plan running in all weathers, 4 times a week to try and get fit to complete the Marathon in under 4 hours. I have completed 33 hours of training in July and August so far and burnt over 30,000 calories - no wonder I have lost nearly a stone! So, it is not the commitment of doing the run itself, but the 80 training runs that I will have completed that will make me most proud -although that will probably change if I achieve my goal of a sub 4 hour Marathon!

St Margaret's Hospice do not receive any public funding and rely on donations and fundraising. They need to raise £40,000 a week to stay open. The Hospice provided amazing care to my wife's late Aunt in her final days and this is why I am raising funds for the Hospice.
