Story

Thank you for visiting, if you've made it this far then my assumption can be reliably supported that you are thinking of sponsoring me for this hike. Let me try and convince you to sponsor....

As you may know about me, I quite like a physical challenge (before and after.. perhaps not during) - half and full marathon, Kilimanjaro. The support I have received in the past has been incredible. This challenge is a different kind, on the 27th into the 28th May we are walking 100km through the South of England continuously. It's estimated this may take 24 -30 hours (including a couple of breaks, we are allowed that much) without a substantial break or sleep, walking through the night across the country parks of Surrey and Sussex. This is going to be painful. And I'm not good without sleep.

I have chosen to raise money for this event, rather than self fund, for an important reason. I may not, fortunately, have a personal connection with Children's Hospice South West, but the incredible work and support they offer to families and children with life limiting or threatening conditions is something we should all be thankful for. Many of us will hopefully never require their services, but for those that do I cannot imagine the value they must add. Therefore, I please ask you to sponsor not just for me, but for the people whose lives are closely interlinked with the charity.

Rob and I have started our training, as you may see, it's not always sunny or pretty, and the hikes are getting longer and more enduring with each week. We will keep the blog updated with our progress if you would like to follow.

Thank you for your support.
